Rulindo expands flower farming

On the 7th July 2017, in collaboration with FLORAMMAT Ltd, a summer flowers growing company, with TerimbereMukoto Cooperative, farmers of Bahimba marshland in Rulindo district have embarked on flower farming at 1.5 ha area.

Florammat Ltd provided these famers with seedlings, pledged a follow-up support and will buy their harvest.

This activity (expanding flower farming acreage) based on the district’s 2017-2018 performance contract is expected to be extended in Cyinuzi, Ngoma, Base, Tumba, Cyungo sectors and Muyanza marshland. These farmers will be supported in capacity building and getting connected to buyers.
