Calibration training for cuppers of Cup of Excellence 2014

NAEB  is organizing the 6th  Cup of excellence competition and the first step taken was to hold a calibration training of coffee cuppers in this framework, from Sunday 22 June  to 25th June 2014 the Calibration training for cuppers of CoE 2014 were held at Kayonza provincial laboratory, Eastern province. 24 cuppers attended the session headed by Paul Songer, the head judge of CoE 2014. The objectives were to calibrate the local coffee cuppers and to select, among them who will participate in the national and international jury. 

Different coffee samples fulfilling all range of coffee attributes (From high to low coffee quality) were tasted in different sessions and the trainees had to show up their ability to detect all those attributes attached to each kind of coffee quality.
