Press Release: Rwanda to host III World Coffee Producers Forum

Rwanda is scheduled to hold the III World Coffee Producers’ Forum (WCPF) from the 14-15th of July, 2021. This is a one of a kind forum, which is organized by producers to tackle and find solutions for very important issues faced by producers.

An announcement was made by Juan Esteban Orduz, the President of Colombian Coffee Federation and Chairperson of WCPF in an interview with CNBC Africa yesterday, 17th February 2020. The decision for Rwanda to host the III edition of WCPF was made at the end of 2019 edition of WCPF held in Campinas, Brazil.

Mr. Orduz emphasized that the main objective of this forum is to bring together coffee producers, industry leaders, economists and analysts, given that the challenges faced by all country members are almost the same. “Our togetherness in seeking solutions for our common problems is necessary; we have to work jointly and co-responsibly to make permanent changes to issues that compromise the future supply of coffee.” said Mr. Orduz.

It is expected that 1,500 regional and international participants, from over 40 coffee producing countries across the globe, with members of the wider coffee industry will participate in this forum.

The World Coffee Producers Forum (WCPF) is a not-for-profit organization formed to analyze and address the challenges faced by the coffee value chain.
