Rwandan agri-export products to explore EU markets through SIA.

For the first time, Rwanda participates in the Paris International Agriculture Show, namely SIA (Salon International de l'Agriculture) to highlight the uniqueness of their agricultural products to more than 700,000 investment-oriented professional visitors alongside with more than other 1000 exhibiting companies from across the globe in a bid toshowcase Rwandan quality products to the EU market and France in particular, attract new niche markets and strengthen existing ones.

Salon International de l'Agriculture (SIA) is one of the biggest agricultural platforms in Europe and France's most extensive regional products market since 1964. The annual expo will take place at Paris exhibition Porte de Versailles from the 26th of February to the 6th of March.

About 15 Rwandan agri-SMEs and 10 other well-established companies that export value added tea, coffee, horticultural and other agro-processed products from Rwanda are attending to create market linkages with EU potential markets and to introduce export potentials and opportunities that we can offer to the EU countries. They will use the platform to increase their expertise and business contacts through this major international trade show’s B2B meetings and site visits.

France is one of the leading markets for Rwandan agri-export products such as French beans, green and roasted coffee. France is also a trade hub in EU which makes her one of potential partners to make business deals with.

Among products taken on board include roasted coffee, value-added teas, fresh avocado, avocado oils, French beans, fresh chilli, chilli oils, passion fruits, honey and flours.
